Contemporary Level 3
Dancers in this level begin moving at a much quicker pace with multiple direction and level changes. Students begin to turn and jump off center, complex floor work is introduced and improvisational skills are honed. Ballet is required since dancers in this level are expected to have a strong technical base in order to avoid injury. Dancers interested in making Contemporary dance their main focus are strongly encouraged to take two classes a week. Students may take a level below, but not above, their current standing as their second class.
